Today I got my book in the mail - Finally! (I've never been very patient, I admit).
At this point I have read most of the book - except for a majority of the exercises.
Why? Well two reasons.
1. I am short on time today and its late. (I've heard that these exercises can be energizing-not a good thing before bed.)
2. After reading a few descriptions of the moves... I am overwhelmed!
Let me elaborate #2. I learn best by seeing, practicing, then correcting. The book has great information that I'm not sure would be best presented in DVD form alone. So its great that it's in a book! But for learning the moves for the first time, its best to see the move being performed. My initial observation is that the book is a great introduction/supplement to the DVDs but I think purchasing the DVDs are very important for getting the moves down initially as least.
I was reading through the first few steps of PBS (that I hear is so important to master), but after a few steps deep... WHOA! I was getting overwhelmed and confused.
Luckily by buying the book, I receive a 30% discount to use when I buy the DVDs. I am seriously considering purchasing the DVDs reeeeeally soon. Right now the November deals throws in free additional DVDs and free shipping. I am VERY tempted... Assuming I can combine the two offers. Wait, can I?
Tomorrow I won't have much free until after my last evening class. I'm not totally sure if I'm leaving tomorrow night to celebrate Thanksgiving or that morning. Assuming I stay home for the night, I will get practicing a few of these moves and starting with PBS. If I leave tomorrow night, I will have to come back to it afterwards.
Wow! Look at the time! I better head to bed.
Oh! Last night some snow fell on the city so they delayed opening the school for 2 hours (til 10am). This meant that my marketing class was cancelled (I highly dislike marketing)! And since my AIS class was cancelled for today as well, I didn't have class. It was pretty awesome. :) (I spent a lot of time working on a project so yes I was still productive! haha)
Tomorrow I have work, cost accounting, the accounting for govt/non-profit. Then 2 days off! Well, sorta. IU have plenty of stuff I need to work on/study for!
Anyways, I need sleep. Night!
