Starting today I want to get serious about starting new habits in my life. At the moment I don't know what all of these new habits will be but I have a rough list to start with...
Meditating every morning and night, mirror work, positive affirmations thoughout the day, going to bed by 11, healthy supplements, drinking lots of water, learning more about fitness, listening to subliminal records...
A few of the things mentioned I probably would have scoffed at the though of ME doing them. Yes, little ol' pessimistic, logical me meditating and listening to subliminal messages. But after following ImpatientDieter on Youtube, I have confidence that she has found a winning formula to achieving her goals. She inspires me everytime I play one of her videos. But this time, i took her internal message to heart rather than just focusing on the diet/fitness plan. So this time around I am focusing more heavily on the internal part. I think she would be proud.
I know that there is going to be bumps in the road and excuses will want to come up but i want to blog regularly (not necessarily every day) to vent, regroup and get back to my goals.
So goals... What are these goals?
-Get a internship/job in my field
-Graduate with honors
-Get into a masters program
-Be fit and healthy
-Lose excess fat, trim my body
-Build a positive attitude towards myself and my life
-Enrich the lives of the people around me
-Create my own business
-Be a role model
After looking at the list, I can definitely see that working on the internal applies to ALL of these goals whereas the external (physical) doesn't directly impact all of them. So my conclusion is to let go of the body-weight-loss-skinny tummy- obsession and get to focusing on the internal factors.
But regardless I still want a healthier body and flattering figure. Who doesn't?
I want to work losing the excess weight I have put on over the years (souvenir of college, right?) to be a better version of me. Not Kim Khardasian... Me!
I envision myself feeling and looking good for a few things in my future...
My trip to Hawaii (28 days from now... I think)
My trip to Austin, TX (4 months from Thursday!)
And, most importantly, Graduation! (7 months from now-ish!)
I am SO excited to see where I am internally and externally at each of these milestones. Hooray!
I hope to blog more frequently in these forming stages to record my progress, update what I've learned, what I'm doing, and to keep my motivation high! But keep in mind that finals is around the corner for me...
I feel like I am finally ready for this, ready to challenge my mind, body, and soul
That's all for me :)
